Prayer Requests

  • Sept. 21, 2009 – We appreciate all of the prayers that we have received for my foot.  It is healing, and I am out of my cast.  I’m also walking without crutches (around the house – I still use them for longer distances), although not without pain.  The area surrounding the broken bone feels fine, but the ankle is giving me some trouble.  I know it will just take time, but I would appreciate your prayers that the “time” will be short.  Please continue to pray for friends for all of us.  Really learning language involves being able to share your heart with someone.  We can go out to eat, ask how much something costs and complete a sale, and even find the right Bible verse in church.  But in order to go to the next level with our Spanish, we need to converse with people on a deeper level.  Also, the girls don’t have a lot of exposure to Spanish.  Lydia is learning a lot because it’s her nature to talk.  :)   Grace is more self-conscious and is nervous about trying to communicate in Spanish.  I know that friends for them would make a big difference.  We haven’t found any girls their age to play with, so please pray that the Lord will send some playmates for both Grace and Lydia.  Thank you!
